About Alaska Airlines First Class MVP® Gold Guest Upgrades:
MVP® Gold Guest Upgrades are electronic upgrade coupons given to MVP® Gold members to upgrade friends or family members who are not traveling with them, or for their own use for immediate upgrade when not purchasing a qualifying fare.
Two Easy Steps:
1. During booking, select a Guest Upgradeable flight, and select "I want to apply a Guest Upgrade code to one or more of my flights." during online booking.
2. From the Your Confirmed Reservation page, select the Guest Upgrades link to apply your Guest Upgrades.
Get Started:
To use your MVP® Gold Guest Upgrade codes, either lookup a reservation or select a reservation from your My Trips. You'll find the Guest Upgrade link at the top of Your Confirmed Reservation page.
Make sure to check if your flight/itinerary is upgradable prior to the purchase one of these upgrades.
Search for eligible itineraries/flights by first choosing Gold Guest Upgrades and look for the solid blue square with the "F" in the center each separate itinerary. If you have a multi-leg flight, sometimes only a partial itinerary is a upgradable.
Gold Guest Upgradable flights are more available (at first) far into the future. Then become less available... until more are released much closer to dates of flight.
Be careful to avoid fight itineraries that have the boxed F not colored in blue since these are not instantly upgradable.
