    J W Stoddard began making farm implements as early as 1869 and his business carried the name J W Stoddard & Co until 1884.  That year the company became Stoddard Manufacturing, so this folder was produced within that 15 year time frame. One of the dates mentioned in this advertising piece is 1878.
    Using Tiger as a brand name, his farm implements became famous for quality and were known worldwide.
    By 1890 he had sold about 200,000 Tiger Rakes as shown in this wallet. The official name for this advertising piece is the "side pocket wallet and letter case".
